Message From the Director

Kimberly Rawls

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! It is my pleasure to welcome both our returning students and those joining us for the first time to the Marion County Carl Loftin Career and Technology Center.

At MCCTC, we believe every student deserves the opportunity to discover their strengths, develop valuable career skills, and prepare for a successful future. Career and Technical Education (CTE) provides students with meaningful, hands-on learning experiences that connect classroom instruction with real-world careers. Through our diverse programs, students gain technical knowledge, earn industry-recognized certifications, develop leadership skills, and explore career pathways that prepare them for employment, college, technical training, military service, and lifelong success.

As we begin this school year, our theme, Blueprints for Excellence, reflects our commitment to helping every student build a strong foundation for the future. Whether students are learning in the lab, classroom, or workplace, each experience is designed to equip them with the skills, confidence, and character needed to thrive in an ever-changing workforce.

We encourage students and parents to explore our website and review the Student Handbook, which contains important information about our programs, expectations, grading policies, certifications, student organizations, and the many opportunities available at our center. In addition, all policies outlined in the Marion County School District Student-Parent Handbook apply to our campus.

Our dedicated faculty and staff are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment where every student can grow academically, professionally, and personally. We are proud to partner with families, business and industry leaders, and our community to prepare the next generation of skilled professionals and leaders.

Thank you for choosing the Marion County Carl Loftin Career and Technology Center. It is an honor to serve the students and families of Marion County, and we look forward to another outstanding year of learning, innovation, and achievement.

If you have any questions or need additional information, please feel free to contact me at krawls@marionk12.org or 601-736-6095.

We look forward to working with you as we continue Building Futures by Design.
