Message From the Director
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year at the Marion County Carl Loftin Career and Technology Center! We are delighted to have you join us. Career and Technical Education (CTE) plays a vital role in our educational system, offering a range of pathways that integrate academic knowledge with practical skills. This handbook serves as an essential guide, outlining our programs, certifications, and the opportunities available to our students. Our primary aim is to prepare students for success in their chosen CTE fields by providing them with the necessary knowledge, technical skills, and real-world experience. Through our comprehensive curriculum and activities, students will build a solid foundation while exploring their passions and interests. I encourage you to familiarize yourself with the requirements, grading policies, and expectations for each CTE program detailed in the MCCTC Handbook, as it will guide each student's journey in CTE. Please note that all policies outlined in the Marion County School District Student-Parent Handbook also apply on our campus. We expect all students and parents to acquaint themselves with these policies. I am thrilled to serve the students, parents, and community members of Marion County. If you have any questions, concerns, or ideas, please don't hesitate to contact me via email at krawls@marionk12.org or by phone at 601-736-6095. Together, let's embark on a journey of discovery, learning, and achievement. With dedication, hard work, and collaboration, we will continue to nurture an environment that fosters innovation, teamwork, and lifelong learning.
Kimberly Rawls, CTE Director
